On Friday, May 13 over 1,000 school children will step into the past for The 17th Annual Farm & Tractor Days at the historic Dry Creek Ranch House in Rio Linda. They will see real, live working machinery from yesteryear and participate in a variety of activities designed to bring history to life.

On Saturday, May 14, the General public is welcome to come see Antique Gas & Steam engines huff and puff; machinery clang and bang as vintage tractors, and farm equipment parade around the grounds to the delight of children of all ages.

Don’t miss the Tractor Pull, a contest of pride and strength where the drivers test their antique machines against increasing weight to see who can pull the heaviest load. This annual event highlights the machinery and engines of the early pioneers. Draft Horse and Mule teams will demonstrate their skills side by side with the newfangled gas engines.

Activities include; Ranch House Museum tours, Draft Horse and Mule demonstrations, Tractor Pulls and Parades, Antique Fire Engines, Farm Animals, Craft Vendors and a Western BBQ Lunch on Saturday by the Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District.

Don’t miss this great family entertainment and learning experience.
